At this year’s Frihamnsdagarna, the research project had planned to host a session at the Transition Lab (Omställningslabbet), where we invited the public to join us for a ”walk and talk.” The idea was to meet at the Lab and explore the new provotypes together.
Unfortunately, the weather had other plans. However, despite the rain, several people still turned up, so we decided to hold a ”sit and talk” in the Makerspace at the Lab instead.
We gave a brief introduction to the research project and its broader theoretical context, including how ecofeminism informs our work. We also presented the project briefs that had been provided to the Dare2Build students for the design and construction of the three provotypes: The Human Nest, The LAB Invaders, and The Non-Human Zone.
The audience was engaged and genuinely interested in the project and the ideas it explores.
Thank you to everyone who joined us and contributed to the wonderful conversation!
