At Frihamnsdagarna 2025 in Gothenburg, three seminars were organized at the Transition Lab in Frihamnen. During the conversations, visitors, researchers, and experts were invited into open discussions on three themes. These conversations will inform future work in the research project Ecofeminism.
Rewilding – birds, ecology, and society
How will our cities change if nature is given more space?
We explore the interplay between ecology, birdlife, and the human role in rewilding our surroundings – an invitation to think freely, question norms, and find new ways of living together.

Ecofeminist prototypes
How can temporary objects in public space be used to transform living environments?
We explore how new sustainable solutions can be created by implementing eco- and gender-inclusive prototypes. The Transition Lab is located next to the skatepark, outside the Frihamnsdagarna area.

How can skateboarding culture shape the public spaces of the future?
Can skateboarding function as a tool for social change? And how can it influence the way our cities are designed?
Let us explore how inclusive processes and gender perspectives can help reshape our shared environments – with skateboarding culture as a starting point.
