”The Non-Human Barrier” – the provotype stands monumental and eye-catching, its structure solid and grounded. Birds appear to be using it as a lookout point. The vegetation has established itself remarkably well: the self-seeded annuals are in full bloom, and most of the perennials and woody plants (lignoses) have taken root successfully.
”Lab invaders” – The prototype consists of two distinct sculptures: an owl and a swift. The owl’s wood has faded a bit but is otherwise in great shape. The plants have taken off better than expected! While no birds have nested yet due to the late seasonal launch, everything looks highly successful overall.
”The Human Nest” – The provotype rests gracefully within its lush, green surroundings. The structure remains stable, save for one section that appears to have been tested by someone attempting to hang or climb on it. The willow (Salix) is thriving, though a few individual shoots have withered. Otherwise, the well-established shoots simply require a bit of guidance to be woven back into the structure.
